About Arena

The ArenA project was funded by ESF Objective 3 and Scottish Enterprise Glasgow to investigate how creative approaches could be used to develop technological fluency within adults from the Greater Pollok community. The project was designed to develop an online, interactive solution born from the needs of local people.

Over the past two years, Urban Learning Space has worked with people in the area to develop this interactive tool. This process comprised of creative research methods such as storytelling workshops, filmmaking and film screenings.

As part of the development process, Urban Learning Space produced a series of 15 �ArenA flicks� to capture moving snapshots of the area. These visual stories formed the basis of StoryBox and inspired a wealth of other stories that have since been told.

StoryBox is an online storytelling resource which will allow users to view, create and respond to stories contained within the Storybox. Stories can take the form of text, video clips, photographs and audio clips and come directly from local people who StoryBox depends on to keep it alive.

About Storybox

StoryBox was designed with and for people from the Greater Pollok area as a means of encouraging people to digitally engage. StoryBox is a place to share stories about anything and everything: memories, rants, raves, burning issues, personal experiences and everyday life. It is a place to capture all the stories and conversations that are often lost and share them with your friends and family.
